Terms and Conditions

Reservations 

• Reservations made with LUSO GUEST HOUSE (also called LUSO hereinafter), in person, on our website or through Online Travel Agencies (OTA hereinafter), must be guaranteed with a credit card accepted by us, indicating the name of the holder, the card number, the respective expiration date and the security number.
• These credit card details will be retained up to 7 days after “check-out”. All personal data will be received and processed securely.
• The completion of a reservation implies an acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

 

Additional occupancy

• The use of all accommodations is double, that is, for two people, one of whom must be over the age of 18, who will be the responsible and supervisor of minors at all times of their stay.
• All requests for additional occupancy must be made at the time of booking (only available in accommodations that allow it) or later in writing, always according to the availability of the selected accommodation.
• Accommodation changes for additional occupancy are subject to availability.
• For children under 2 years old, a baby cot will be available at a cost of € 5.00 / night.
• Additional occupancy with children between 2 and 12 years old will have an additional cost of € 10 of the total stay.
• For young people from 13 years old or adults in additional occupancy the cost will be 15 € of the total value of the stay.
• Under no circumstances may the maximum number of occupants provided for each accommodation be exceeded.

 

Pets

• No live animals of any kind are allowed, even if they are pets.

 

Arrivals & Departures (Check-in / Check-out)

• Luso does not have a reception in permanent operation, so it is mandatory to communicate the arrival time.
• Check-in is between 15:00 and 22:00. Any check-in outside these hours must be communicated in advance so that the “self check-in” procedure can be sent.
• In order to comply with the legal provisions for the registration of foreigners and for security reasons, we will register at the time of “check-in” the data of all occupants of the accommodation (including minors), for which all guests must present a document ID with photo.
• The accommodation must be vacated by 12:00 on the day of departure. If this is not the case, we reserve the right to charge 50% of the nightly price. If the room is not vacated by 2:00 pm, the full price of one night will be charged, or the relocation price of the next guest, if any.
• The accommodation keys must be handed over to reception upon departure; in case of loss, €15 per item will be charged.

 

Payment

• LUSO  will charge all “Non-Refundable” reservations as soon as they are received.
• For “Flexible” reservations, the credit card presented in the reservation will be pre-authorized 10 days before the guest’s arrival. However, the payment of the reservation amount is made in person during the “check-in”.
• Payment can be made in cash, by debit or credit card.
• Only in case of cancellation or no-show, in case of damage or theft, or in which some amount remains to be paid, the respective amounts may be charged to the credit card indicated on the reservation, according to the detailed invoice, to be sent to the guest, by email.
• In the case of extra services during the stay, these must be paid until the time of “check-out”.
• Payments by PayPal will only be accepted in the case of “Non-Refundable” reservations, made through our website, and the amount is immediately transferred to our account.

 

Credit cards accepted

• Mastercard, Visa, Maestro.
• Only credit cards from the cardholder will be accepted. If the cardholder is not present, then proof of authorization must be granted at the time of payment.
• We do not accept other currencies or bank checks as a form of payment. 

 

Cancellation

• “Non-Refundable” reservations are not subject to cancellation or changes.
• Requests for cancellation and changes (subject to availability) of “Flexible” reservations must be made in writing, with the respective date and time.
• Reservations can only be changed once before check-in.
• Accommodations with weekly and monthly rates cannot be canceled less than 5 days before the expected date of arrival. In this case, 50% of the total amount of the reservation will be charged if the cancellation is made. In case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.
• No fees will be charged for cancellations within 24 hours of booking.
• In case of early departure, the guest will not be entitled to any refund.
• If, in cases of force majeure, the reservation is canceled under the responsibility of Luso Guest House, provided that the cause of the cancellation is not from the respective guest, the guest will have a full refund of the payments made.
• From that moment onwards, Luso Guest House will have no more responsibilities towards the guest, resulting from such cancellation.

 

Guest Behavior

• Guests are expected to behave appropriately at all times during their stay and in accordance with our policy and with respect for the property, its staff and other guests.
• Also as a matter of respect for the rest of other guests, noisy behavior is not accepted between 10:00 pm and 8:00 am. Otherwise, we reserve the right to refuse accommodation or any other services, as well as to request the departure of the guest.
• When this is the case, Luso will have no obligation to reimburse the guest for the loss of accommodation, services or any other loss or expense incurred.
• Luso has a non-smoking policy, therefore, smoking is strictly prohibited in the accommodation. Smoking will only be allowed in common outdoor areas (terrace, balcony and garden) and in accommodation with outdoor areas (balconies or terraces). If there is a need for a deeper cleaning due to breach of this rule, a cleaning fee of €35 will be charged to the guest’s card.
• Guests will be able to receive guests between 9:00 am and 8:00 pm, and communication to Luso is mandatory, by any means that is most convenient (email, SMS, WhatsApp or telephone). After 20:00, only registered guests can enter.
• The use of the accommodation for any illegal purpose or the possession of weapons or any illegal property is not permitted.
• Under no circumstances may the accommodation be sublet.

Security rules

• Although Braga is a quiet city, urban environments can be conducive to less secure situations. Therefore, we recommend some precaution to our guests, especially when walking during the night, not showing valuables.
• For those who have a car, it is essential not to leave valuables inside the vehicle.
• Guests must also take all necessary precautions to prevent theft within LUSO. It is advisable to check all doors and windows before leaving your accommodation. For your own safety, pay special attention to the front door and make sure it is closed.
• In order to prevent fires and other accidents that could endanger your own health, that of other guests and neighbors, we ask that guests take into account basic safety rules.

Responsibility

• Guests can use the wireless broadband service free of charge, provided they use their electronic equipment, however LUSO is not responsible for any loss of service or data on the equipment.
• Guests are solely responsible for all damages caused to the accommodation or common areas of the building by themselves or their guests or any other persons who enter the building due to the negligent behavior of the guest.
• We are not responsible for any damage to the vehicles of guests parked in places adjacent to LUSO.

Complementary information

• While there is an effort to ensure that all information in our advertising material is correct at the time of printing, we reserve all rights to change, replace or withdraw any service or “amenity” at any time without notice and only if required.
• These Terms and Conditions are subject to Portuguese Law.

Privacy

• LUSO stresses that the privacy of your personal data is very important. Your personal information will be added to our database, but will not be shared with third parties. 

Claims

• A complaints book is available, however we will do everything in our power to ensure that its use is unnecessary and that over time it becomes a superfluous object.
